You know the problem with these sites?

They speak a language I don't understand. If anyone wants to see how not to talk to customers then do a google search for SMS messaging and check out any of the sites.

SMS API SMTP

yeah whatever!

How about a site that says - 'text your customers from your PC for 10p a text. Send the same text to loads or single texts'?

But they're a world leading provider of convergent communications solutions.

And don't forget that the Multiserve Platform provides the engine through which 2ergo delivers solutions and services. Connectivity across mobile and fixed-line networks permits the receipt, conversion and delivery of all major communication protocols, including SMS, MMS, WAP, Email, Web and Voice.

Another option is to DIY

Get yourself a GSM modem (Google it).
Download SMS/MMS server application (SMSNOW)
Buy a SIMM card

Plug the GSM modem into your server
Get a developer/tech guy for a day to setup thing up - including integrating your website using the supplied API

Game done - you are up and running in no time (I use the above solution in the shed)

One day you can even decide to let people send flowers (pictures) from your webstore to a mobile phone using MMS - from the same technology you invested - at no extra cost to you.

I won't charge you for the idea above ;)
