Since Hermes rebranded to Evri it is now one of the best couriers(!)

...according to a fulfilment company I'm speaking with that uses Evri instead of Royal Mail.

I swore I'd never use Hermes again - joint worst courier experience alongisde Yodel.

I'd like to switch to this fulfilment company as they have very late same day dispatch cut off times, but the fact they use Evri and don't even offer Royal Mail as an option just seems like a red flag to me...

Any happy customers of Evri here, or unhappy customers, who'd like to weigh in?

Penny for your thoughts :)

I’ve had nothing but bad service from them. Herpes used to mess it up occasionally, but this lot really take the biscuit. A constant source of disappointment and dishonesty.
You can’t contact them. If I tried that I’d be out of business.

I now check who the courier is before I place any orders, Evri = no order.

There’s an (unofficial) FB page for ex workers and complaints. It’s pretty busy!

Nuff said…

I honestly haven't noticed a change, I've had quite a few issues with Hermes and unfortunately, those same issues still exist with Evri.

Also it's very confusing that they rebranded to Evri but still use their Hermes branded documents.

There was a big Manchester based SEO company a few years back that has a awful reputation. They changed their name but that’s all they did.

Why would anyone expect them to change - the Evri name is just a different name for them - nothing more than that.
They've been pumping money into the company to give workers a pension, holiday pay, improving the ordering tracking system and hiring 200 customer service staff - so you'd think this might help improve things, but if the same drivers are being used and the screening process isn't improved then it's no surprise the service is still dire.

We get Hermes/Evri deliveries from a bloke and his missus in an old beat-up estate car (never noticed the make) filled to the brim with parcels (crushed against all the windows) with the car's tail end dragging across the floor. I'm pretty sure even back with they were Hermes they had a policy against that sort of thing but I imagine they don't bother with enough checks.

I find that it tends to depend too much on the quality of the local delivery driver. I am lucky that my local Hermes driver is reliable. Ups on the other hand seem to be unable to find my address nor to push the bell. Some Amazon delivery drivers seem to think that putting a parcel in the bin and a acceptable. At least Amazon is good at fixing the problem.

I think this might be true to a point. We have a guy who I spot round here almost every day, quite how he manages is beyond me as he only has a little Peugeot hatchback filled to the brim. Always friendly, gives me a wave if I pass him in the street, he's come back twice in the same day with deliveries and once stopped me when I was walking my dog and gave me the parcel there and then as he could see I wasn't at home. Can't really fault the guy!

One of my parcels has been in evri's warehouse for 3 days with no signs of movement. :( Parcel came from the States so I'd already waited 11 days for them to update that they had it.

If it doesn't move soon, what are my rights to just cancel, get my money back and get my order someplace else? The company I ordered from are the best for my needs, but not the ONLY brand that sells what they sell.... Is there a reasonable time they have to get my order to me?

Will second the opinion that the quality of Evri service is likely to be dependant on your local delivery driver (same as with any other business tbh). Our local delivery driver for Evri is great - always polite and actually rings the bell. He is also happy to try to leave the parcel with the neighbours if we are not in saving us and him the hassle. Only good reviews from myself.
