Shopping cart - different sized images

I am just starting to look at different options for a new shopping cart. One feature it must have is the ability to have different sized images, I just can't cope with getting every image the same proportions.

So far I have downloaded OSCommerce and this seems to want me to set a standard size, unless I am doing something odd.

Anyone able to recommend a good one, that is free or not loads of money!

You can change the images in OSCommerce to be different sizes, although cant remember exactly where, but think its in the admin section!!

I can see I can change the size, but not so that different images can be different sizes iykwim. They all seem to have to be one standard size.

I have checked their forum too, but can't seem to find the right answer...

Zencart www.zencart.com resizes images for you so you can use any size image you want but they appear the same size in the cart.

I am a bit of a "whiz" with zencart so if you go down this route you can pick my brains :wink:

Maybe I should have used "different proportions" rather than "different size". My products are different shapes and sizes and it will take a lot of work to change them all the images to the same proportions. I want my images to be different proportions, although ultimately they will be similar sizes. I have seen sites use Zen carts and the pics can be a little odd as they are being changed in shape.

 

I had a cart custom made for £350.

Does exactly what I wanted.

So custom software is not as expensive as you may believe.
