Hey everyone --
We're a small e-commerce business, at the moment shipping from an office. This is quickly becoming difficult to manage, however (physically running out of space...), and so I'm looking to move everything off-site.
However - this is fairly new territory for me, so I'm looking for advice on how best to go about it.
In particular:
1) What are good places to find warehouse locations? Are there particular sites or resources that you have used?
2) What should we avoid or watch out for? I imagine there's a lot that can go wrong, but not quite sure what to be looking out for.
3) Looking ahead, whereabouts should we look for staffing a warehouse manager and small fulfilment team? I'm wondering if there are particular places to search / advertise besides the regular job boards.
We are flexible, but learning towards running our operations in-house rather than through a 3PL.
I'd really appreciate your thoughts on all of this - as you can tell, we're fairly new to figuring this out!
