I’m exploring a share-for-share exchange and possibly a Transactions in Securities (TIS), and I’d really appreciate any recommendations for tax professionals who've handled similar matters. Specifically, I’m looking for someone in the UK who:

Has experience advising on share-for-share exchanges and share reorganisations

• Is familiar with the relevant tax implications and how to structure such transactions
• Might offer reasonably priced or value-for-money services

If you’ve worked with a qualified tax adviser — whether a firm or an independent chartered tax adviser (CTA) — who’s handled this kind of work and delivered clear guidance at fair rates, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I have found the Tax Advice Network to be very useful in the past. You mention 'reasonably prices' and 'value for money' but the expertise that you are looking for is not cheap.

I went through a share-for-share reorg last year and, honestly, the jargon nearly fried my brain. I ended up with a small CTA firm in Manchester that had real hands-on experience with TIS. They weren’t flashy, but explained every step clearly, kept things practical and didn’t bleed me dry on fees.
