If you're someone who has sex with strangers you meet in bars, some of those strangers will, inevitably, not turn out to be the sorts of people you thought they were. That's an inevitable part of that lifestyle.

So, while I'm not condoning his lying, he wanted it and she wanted it... until she found out afterwards that he was an Arab... then she accused him of rape.

And then the courts, knowing all this, decided he was guilty and sent him to prison.

Meanwhile a very important note re that part of the world.

It is common for young men to tell young girls they will marry them so it is ok for them to have sex. The girl gives up her virginity, the boy nolonger wants to know and the girl is 'ruined'. Because in their culture the girls must be virgins when they marry.

I knew a girl who this happened to. She came to the UK for an abortion when she was 5 months pregnant. This was when she was about 17. She's 25 now unmarried and waiting for a 'sew-up' operation to restore her virginity.

These things might not be a big deal in the West but they are in other parts of the world.
