All depends on what you are selling and to whom. Consider also shipping cheap Chinese tat might be more than expected and may get more returns.

The actual cost of the product is a very small component in the whole process.

Hi, is it cheaper to buy stock for Amazon FBA from overseas such as China or domestically? Thanks
From what I've seen on a few FBA groups you're betting off doing retail arbitrage for stock, simply going round all the big stores for clearance items and then holding or sending off straight away for FBA to get the best potential.

It's also good if you can do you own PL products like multivitamins, hair products etc.

As @fisicx mentioned most of the stuff on Alibaba and Aliexpress is cheap tat sold to wannabe sellers, if you are going to source from China you're better off finding the factory direct and hiring an agent to make sure all the items are quality checked before dispatch. There can be good money made in items like e-bikes, cookware, electronics & so on just need the quality there first.
