Resizing a batch of images

Alrighty There People!

I have about 70 images that I want to resize. They are all the same size, and I want to reduce them all to the same size, ie, all of them are 800x600, I want them all 400x300.

I've got Photoshop, is there a way I can do that in there? Or any other way - I don't want to do them individually!

Help, as always, much appreciated!

In Photoshop set up an Action, (see Photoshop Help>Automating tasks>actions).
Then go File>Automatic>Batch and run the action on the folder that has the pix you want resized in it, choosing an output folder.
A bit more complex than eg Irfan, but you can structure the action more finely to, for instance, match colour.

Hi All

I know this one is sorted now...but...

there is a really handy Microsoft (yes, handy and MS in the same sentence lol) that can resize all files in a folder from a right click context menu item.

Get it here:
download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

Waa i can't post URLS - but you geddit!

Lets you resize all selected files, make new copies or resize orig, etc etc. I take about 300 ebay images a week and just select em all, and bang, from 8 mpixel down to 640x480 in a flash
