Hi All,

I'm currently doing my niche research and prefer to do it this way but I have heard of renting a list with hundreds of email addresses in different categories/niches you could use to target people.

Just curious, Does anyone of a list (under specific niches) that give you Company name/Contact Name / Contact details that can be rented?

Otherwise I'll stick to searching and sending cold emails on places like Linkedin

Thanks

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you "rent" a list of details that you can copy in about... eight seconds?

They have toxic data built in

@steps to grow - there are any number of data houses out there, with hugely varying degrees of quality

I bought data specific to hotels - and was very particular about what I wanted (quality over quantity). The big boys came up with big numbers & extravagant promises and prduced nothing like what I wanted

i ended up paying far more with a specialist provider - working exclusively in hospitality - who did a great job.

You can buy lists... but so many are sold by snake-oil salesmen that what you're buying is often out of date and not much use. Plus, you have to be mindful of GDPR regulations these days. If I recall correctly GDPR doesn't apply to B2B however if you've got someone's personal details on the list (like a personal email address), they have to have given you prior permission for you to contact them otherwise you'd be in breach of GDPR.

I had a mate who sold specialist software. He paid about £15K for a list but the leads were excellent and the cost was covered by the first contract.

If a business email is on one of those lists then may well get dozens or hundreds of emails a day.

So how would you get yours even read? Getting noticed is hard.
May well end up in spam folder.

LinkedIn sales navigator

This is so underrated its unbelieve, I know so many people paying thousands of £££ with what they think is marketing but its just a waste of time.

You can do it without sales navigator if you wanted, its just a lot quicker with it.

So many people I know have started their own thing during lockdown and I've pointed a lot of them towards LinkedIn.

My friend wants to get his product into Screwfix - what does he do, uses LinkedIn to find all the head buyers for that category, connects with them, sends them his thing - they invite him to their HQ to pitch in person!

As above, its quality vs quantity.

Cheers billybob99

I'm at that stage where im building a list of prospective clients. The demo i saw showed what you've described and looks like a speedy way of building my list.

Thanks for the message.
