Real Wales Xmas Shindig

OMG, better get dieting lol

You know what Garfield said about dieting! die-t (not sure what the "t" stands for - unles it's "tosh"!!!)

We're a safe bunch missus, no-one's going to make fun of you on the night!

(We'll save the piccies for youtube and UKBF!!;):D)

Besides - when I'm there everyone will be WAY too busy ripping me a new one! Don't sweat it!

(unless the original LBD is 'to good to leave home')

I'm sure i'll be the fatty in the group :)

still ... i better get down to the gym tomorrow ... my membership card is getting dusty!

The 11th is fine with me too!

Can my partner Andy come too? Seeing as he's technically a businessman too (although he has no interest in running a business whatsoever!)

Thanks :D

That's something I was wanting to ask, not sure yet, as I haven't asked him, but if he wants to could my partner come along, he hasn't said so yet but may get a little nervous about me meeting people off the internet! Any one of us could be a wierdo (if you are please let us know, or wear a sign when you arrive!)

Well I mentioned food and my 15yr old who has a better business brain than me wants to come lol I say the more the merrier (and I plan to be;))

Anyone know of a cheap B&B in Rhyl??

I like a bit of truffle snuffling myself :D

All, just to clear this up - partners (whatever) are all welcome! (Personal proviso here that anyone coming should be legally able to buy a round!)

Whether you come with, or without, is entirely up to you on an individual basis.

I ESPECIALLY don't want lady UKBF members feeling uncomfortable, so bring the local trusted rugbi team if it makes you feel safer (just make sure they've got cash in their pockets before they board the bus!!;))

I'm bringing my better half along so MrsP can meet her translator, chat about Welsh language and baby stuff... 'n' that!

The more the merrier folks - but if you're happier coming on your jack, that's fine too.

ps - thought occured - do we want to think about name badges? so we know who we are on here and what our real names are?

pps - do we want to think about a kitty? depending on where we go, there might be a booking fee...

ppps - we need to sort venue if all are ok with the Friday!

time to sign on dotted line peeps!;)

All sounds good to me, would deff like food.... a good Indian gets my vote!

Maybe we can find a good buffet, or what we used to do is give the restaurant a final number and a monetary amount (say £15 ea) and they would come up with a spread, works out a better choice that way :D:p;) only really works with "ethnic" tho I supose.

So, I am good for the Friday, will be 2/3 and will have a red rose in my cleavage

Looking forward to meeting Mrs Geoff :D

Lets just go frankie and bennys, followed up by throwing popcorn at people in the odeon :)

although a good nandos would be nice (yum yum)

Johnstown Chippys nice :D

Hehee,like your style!

Having thought about it for another 3 seconds, when I have been involved with similar things there is a tendency for people not to show up. How about setting up a paypal jobby and people put £10 in as a kind of promise then if they don't turn up we can just drink their moneys worth :D

I agree that a buffet-type deal would probably work better than a sit down thing, because it's easier to mingle n stuff.

Mrs Geoff looking forward to seeing your stuff MrsP:D

Deeside is ace for me - only down the road, but thought somewhere round here would be a bit out the way for most! If you are up for looking round here I can ask around, see where's good!

PS Just to explain, I don't feel uncomfortable about coming alone, but my partner might, probably good I've got him around! Plus it'll be nice for him to finally see what I babble about all the time! x:D

I'm happy for anywhere upto 90 minute drive!

I don't think it would go down very well if I said to my OH "i'm off to meet everyone from the forum, here's the kids - see ya!"

I'd just like to say in advance that i'd love to see this meet ups photos :D:D

no probs mate - prices per piccie will be available on a pro-rata basis...

price range to include(list is not exhaustive!):

1. Embarrassment value = +10% per member
2. Geoff T inclusion = -30% per piccie (due to inherent damage to photography equipment!)
3. good Mrs Geoff T piccie having fun = freebie drink from Mr Geoff T!!!
4. Missing drink = +1 drink forfeit per member/guest
5. 'Over fun' mix = -10% off bill bonus per member/guest per piccie

base line price = £20

reason for base line price - to quote the ad - "because we're worth it"!!!!:p

(guys n' gals - we could make profit here!!:D)

I might bring my cashflow forcasts to do whilst drunk - apparently it helps make them more accurate.....

That's a lot to remember whilst getting a few drinks down me, but fear not, I'll probably end up having a great time, and embarass myself, and that's before I have a drink!

Really looking forward to this! Deeside is mega handy for me too!
