So having listened to some of your suggestions I have now re-designed the homepage.

The links are not working at the moment but im looking for feedback on the homepage.

Much better I think. Why not have the background a gradient blue? (complimentary to yellow).

I'll leave others to comment on the site, but I think you have a fundamental flaw with your idea.

If I want a foam gun, I also want a few cans of foam, and a can of foam cleaner. I may also want some knife blades. I could buy all these from screwfix or toolstation, or I could buy the gun from you and the rest from screwfix.

Admittedly your price is very low, but any money I save by buying the gun from you I lose by having to pay delivery on my screwfix order (which would otherwise have been free, if I'd bought the gun from them).

In short, I think one product websites are very hard to make work. Hard to promote, and hard to generate repeat custom for.

I'm not saying you won't sell any on your site - I'm sure you will. But the question is will you sell enough to make your website worth having?

A 1Kb gif wouldn't increase the load time very much at all.

You just use a very tiny gif in a gradient that the browser just reloads multiple times - there's very little overhead.

Not bad at all. A couple of minor suggestions: Make the free delivery more prominent. £13.99 is the full price. Also, it would be beneficial to show us how much we're saving - compare it to the B&Q price, Homebase, etc. Your testimonial tells of next day delivery: this is a big selling point and should be pushed more aggressively ("90% of orders delivered next day!", or something similar.) I'd consider replacing the "Add to Basket" text with "Buy Now". You've only got 1 product, so the basket is kind of redundant.

I disagree with Sysops though - how many first time foam gun buyers are there out there? Most people who use these tools have used them before, are simply buying a replacement, and already have the accessories. By all means, bring on the extra products, but their absence is not a deal killer. There's nothing wrong with single product websites as long as the market exists.

Ah, zis is vere you are rrrong!

You're right to say that most users aren't fist time, and are likely to be buying a replacement. But anyone buying a replacement gun will invariably want some foam and cleaner - these are not accessories, they are consumables.

Take it from someone who has seen first hand data on the sale of such items.

I would say that a large chunk of the target market would be window fitters!

and from my experience most of the window companys supply the foam cannisters.

Look, I am not in any way wanting to put a downer on your project, I was just pointing out what I think is the biggest hurdle you will face.

As for the website, I quile like the design

I'd stick to a san-serif font, verdana or Arial (a common browser font), and do away with the Times New Roman. Looks pretty nice otherwise IMO.

I like the improvements though!

As a solution to the problem of other cross-sellers, you could perhaps cross-sell. ie add £1 for a can of foam - you could make this viable if you came to some sort of pricing agreement with another manufacturer - possibly even exchange links

Use keyword insertion to give the ads more impact and generate more relevant clickthroughs. Add some text about how fast your delivery is.

But as I said before, one product sites are really tough work.

no, the bottom is definitely arial: 'font face="Arial"' which leads me to wonder why no css has been used?

The menu is aligned to left in Firefox; for a quick fix add: align="center", to the Divs containing the nav at the top and bottom.
