Before i speak to my accountant in two weeks i have a question with regards to leasing company cars. Some of the local businesses near me have leased range rover sports and one has just leased a new bmw m3.

From looking at this last time (about four years ago) you get absolutely nailed on company car tax. Do anyone know if regs have changed?? or a new calculator to work out the costs? as i wouldn't mind leasing a M3.

They are a low monthly payment but what would the company car tax be on it?? i think the m3 is 288 co2

Thanks

Hi Jon

The best site to calculate your car tax is www.comcar.co.uk

This site is a little rough around the edges but perfect for calculating your monthly tax cost. You basically select "Tax Calculator (cars)", select a vehicle make and model, add any extras (metallic paint, sat nav etc) and just complete anything else as normal (fuel allowance, salary etc).

It will then give you an overall tax cost and a monthly amount breakdown that you will pay. Do not take the amount to be the exact amount, as each online vehicle tax calculator will give you a slightly different amount, but it will at least give you an idea on what you will pay per month.

A car tax calculation is worked out by the amount the vehicle costs, the emissions and any extras added onto the vehicle. The more the vehicle costs (basic list price plus additional extras) the more your tax will be as this is all taken into account as a BIK (Benefit In Kind).

If you require a quotation for any new vehicle just either visit our site at www.conceptvehicleleasing.co.uk where you can view or request a quotation. Alternatively just give us a call on 0800 0432050.

Thanks
