As per the Announcement I'm just about to post after I've put this Feedback post up, this is a thread for anyone to ask questions, add comments or feedback if I missed anything off the announcement. 
Just to reiterate first, this isn't going to happen tomorrow. We're still getting stuff in place to actually manage this, but the some FAQ's I'm envisaging.
The objective I want to achieve is that being an active member on UKBF will generate business and support between the members on here. I want an environment where everyone who contributes can network and engage, and actively encourage everyone to do business together.
This is one of the reasons behind one of the first changes introduced when I took over the forums was relaxing the rule that was in place that did not allow responses to posts along the lines as "I can help with that".
With that in mind, that is why a change to the Business Directory will be coming and it will be replaced with your membership Profile becoming much more important. The structure of your member profile will be become more business focused in the future, a place for you to showcase your business. The layout will vary for membership tiers, paid members profiles will have a bit more prominence but that is no different to how the members director works currently.
The UK Business in Focus is a change we're making to the newsletter and the social media channels, and part of wanting to proactively promote and drive business to members here. It will be opt-in hence asking the question, and needing a complete membership profile.
There's been a lot of feedback in the past I see, and some now too, about the UKBF Stories on the left of the forum. I was umming and erring about removing them, but actually I'd like to give them a shot to continue but with articles generated by members. This is an idea still being pulled together on exactly how it'd work but that is behind asking the question on your profiles, would you be interested in contributing so we can build up list of experts in the fields and/or wise and experiences business owners with knowledge to share.
That's a summary but ask away if I've missed anything. The call to action I'm asking is;

- Make sure your profile is up to date with your business information so we can promote your business across the various UKBF channels, so other members can contact you, and so it is there ready for when we make these changes
- Tell me if you want to provide articles or have your business showcased so we know who wants to ready
- Follow UKBF on your other preferred socials so you get to see this as it happens on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We'll pick up your socials from your profile pages.
- If you don't already, opt-in for the newsletter so you see the fruits of our labours as we pull this all together.
