PR Company Recommendations

A tough one, I cannot, or I should say, won't, answer that for commercial reasons.

Sorry... I know it takes away the fun.

without giving to much away maybe you would like to explain what those commercial reasons are.?:|:)

after all with out knowing the cost per sale how on earth can one evaluate the ROI ot PR.

I myself am happy to explain that I take 50% of the profits of suitable start up projects and sometimes enter into agreements where I recieve a lowly 5 pence per visitor per month for every extra visitor I bring to a site over there original baseline.

P.S don't all rush as I would not consider a site that is not doing at least 50k visitors a month now and I considered had the potential to expand rapidly.

Lot cheaper that PPC though.:)

I would love to find a PR firm that put their money where their mouth was - and be paid per sale, per column inch or airtime minute - depending on their client's needs and remit.

If you were paying by the column inch it would cost you thousands. There are pay as you go prs out there but i think the cost of getting say a full page article in a national paper goes it would be about £15k ish depending what paper.

nope...

My post was trying to get over a few points.

1. SEO is not the be all and end all of peoples marketing options
2. PR is not the be all and end all of peoples marketing options

The two can work hand in hand.

I put my opinion out there for people to consider, shoot down, take on board, or do whatever they want to having seen the thread move into what I considered to be a bit of a knock on what PR can deliver.

I fear this will spiral into one of those back and forth forum debates that stops me coming back here as frequently as I used to.

Facts and figures?

I've got a few facts (I lost my figure years ago)
1) No one is purporting anything I've written to be "scientific research"
2) I've blogged about companies we worked with, companies we compete with and companies that have wanted to buy us
3) Andy/10Yetis hasn't done any work for me or my companies for years
4) This thread isn't about what PR is/isnt about - I would never argue it's about scientific fact rather than 'hearsay" ( I thought you preferred Girls Aloud anyway?)
