looking for suggestions for an easy-to use PDF editing tool

Free would be nice, but not as important as the above!

What kind of functionality do you need?

I normally just export to PDF from other apps. For example I use the Preview app which comes with Mac OS to put together basic multi-page PDF's or save images as PDF's. I often save Google Docs documents to PDF for sharing and I believe Microsoft Word has the same functionality.

If you're after fancier stuff (forms etc) I can't help but I'd have thought Adobe Acrobat is the gold standard in that area!

I avoid Adobe products like the plague. Adobe have long been behind some of the most insidious privacy violations in the history of the internet (flash cookies, anyone?)

I've used PDF Exchange Editor for several years and have been very happy with it.

All I'm looking to do is make changes to filled PDFs after I've saved them - If it makes a difference, all the changes will be in the 'fill' boxes.

Like the look of that. I'm planning a new PC with an upgrade to windows 10, good pdf software was proving a little problematic to find.

I might be wrong but I don't think you need full blown PDF editing software to do this. I think most PDF readers will let you edit forms and save the PDF. I use Preview to do this on Mac but Adobe Acrobat Reader should work on Windows.

If you are going for a paid version Nitro pdf is okay and offers a free trial. Personally I prefer and pay for the adobe products as they work very well.

Another reason to avoid Adobe is their pricing model - they like subscriptions. For far less than the price of 12 months of Acrobat you can buy Foxit's Phantom ... and own it for life.

Plenty of good options around. The only bad one is Adobe.

Foxit (free) reader works even better

Just get a basic (or older) version of Abobe creative suite. That will do all you'll ever need to do. I think I have cs3 on one machine and it still does everything I need.

You always can use any browser to look at pdf documents. Adobe Acrobate - for editing

If editing an existing PDF - there are a few online tools I use (just Google it) and if creating I tend to use Word - and then save as PDF.
Most Adobe products are over priced in my opinion, especially as I get word for free.
