Packing delicate goods for posting.

I will soon be sending out cans of liquid. Now if the can gets pierced that is not good.

How would you advise me to pack them?

Depends on the item you are posting and also who you send it via.

Each courier will have their own rules on what they carry, and usually how they should be packed. Check with whoever you are using, as not going by their guidelines could invalidate any insurance you have on the item in transit, or leave you open to legal action if something went wrong due to you posting a prohibited item, or not packing it properly (say it leaks and damages a machine or other mail)

well one of the items would be a can of expanding foam. Im not sure if thats allowed or not!

We find giant bubble rap helps with bottles & cans, often it helps to put a box within a box too.

However - no matter how good you pack em if your courier dosent take care they wont make it.

Parcelforce are pretty good but lately certain depots seem to be trying their best to damage the parcels.
we sent 20 cartons of soya milk out in one delivery and 8 of them burst destroying some other items in the parcel.

we did spend quite some time trying to burst a carton of the stuff and it took alot of force. How they did it when it was securely rapped Ill never know.

they also seem to have taken a fancy to puncturing parcels lately


I know some couriers specialise in certain goods such as wine bottles etc
worth contacting them all to see what they can offer
