CamperCars.co.uk started in January 2021

I am looking for a business partner to use the systems to go on adventures ideally someone who possesses not only exceptional photography and videography skills but also a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and strategies. Your ability to curate and share compelling content across various channels will help us establish a strong online presence and connect with adventure enthusiasts thoughout Europe.

I have the suppliers, Manufacturers, storage and shipping for the products however I am time poor with a young family unable to get out there any showcase the products in a variety of vehicles as well as making amazing content for the business.

Although it only started as something to pass the time whilst my main business thetshirtman.co.uk was lacking sales due to the pandemic it is a business that has really been great to run for the past few years however now with my main business booming again I cannot find the time to dedicate to it.

The products are selling and I believe has great scope and potential however I need someone with the additional skillset that I do not posess.

It is not the digital marketer or markeing agency that we need, We need to get our products into vehicles and taken photo of in beauty spots. Making engaging content, I am also looking for someone to share the journey with as well as create new products, Hiring people to do jobs is one thing but to have skin in the game is prefered in this situation.

How much of profit has it made? What I can see in Companies House is that Campboxx Ltd is on application to strike off (with a negative balance sheet of circa £10K) and Camper Cars Portsmouth Ltd is dissolved.

If it's not a business with a history of solid profit, it's worth jack!

If it's worth jack, you're asking a highly talented person to make a long term, full-time commitment ... in exchange for what? A small percentage of FA?

You should really be paying to hire the talent you need to do this job, not expecting to engage someone on no salary for them to use their efforts to generate profit in the business to pay themselves.

You're not going to find someone to do that! Pay a whacking great salary for a top notch player and offer shares as bonuses for beating certain targets (that's how you get them to have skin in the game)!

Wanting someone else to take all the risk without any offer of money up front is you being extraordinarily tight and exceptionally unreasonable. But if it's any reassurance, you're not the first to come here with this kind of ridiculous expectation, nor the 10th, nor the 100th.

At this moment it looks like you are fumbling, hoping someone will come along and fit things into place - at best, it won't work, at worst it will make you a magnet for sharks and crooks.

I think they want to employ somebody who is great at photography and willing to get paid to travel the country taking lots of instagram shots and posting them on various social media sites.

Thankyou very much for your responces, I understand it is a odd propersition but I feel that there is the right person out there, Someone that sees the product and feels they would be able to expand its customer base.

What is on offer is 50% of the business.

Companies House was closed due to the sheer number of letters and accounts required on a regular basis so moved to sole trader arrangement.

With a young family and my other business (thetshirtman.co.uk) I do not have the time to be out and about with the products, Showcasing etc.

My issue is that I dont seam to be able to get the product infront of the right people, I am also not a "salesperson" and lack the skills to convert customers

Each product makes around £300 profit at current levels of products, Roughly selling 1 / 2 items per week, with zero promotion.

I believe it has huge scope especially the CampCook product that can be shipped anywhere is Europe (~£35) very simply with being under 25kg and a reasonable size package.

If looking at the top 10 weathlist counties in Europe that enjoy the outdoors I believe there is oppotunity to sell a huge number of the products based on 1 in 100,000 people purchasing one.

There is no "business"!

You've designed a product (for which you may or may not have properly secured intellectual property rights).

But there isn't a business. That you have sold the odd unit doesn't make this a business. If I decide to go for a new decor in my house and I sell all my furniture in eBay, that doesn't make me a furniture business.

Don't get me wrong, I like the product. It's a pretty cool idea.

But your proposition is crap.

You have "closed Companies House" as you say, which I take to mean that you closed the limited company because it was too much hassle.

So you don't even have 50% of shares in the business to give this "partner" you seek.

If you're now a sole trader you are basically asking for someone highly talented to give up his job and work full time for you in exchange for nothing more than a handshake deal that you'll take care of him and with no formal, legal ownership of anything, ie no equity.

Do you not see how completely ridiculous your offer is?

At the moment the search for a business partner continues and who knows what the future will bring..

This confirms the belief that you aren't ⁹approaching this in business-like manner - apart from crooks, there is a high risk that it will attract dreamers and nutters who will make a right royal mess of things.

May I suggest that you watch a few episodes of Dragons Den, paying very close attention to the questions they ask.

I can pretty much guarantee they will include:

- What IP do you hold? In what name? Will it be transferred?

- What is your GP / wholesale price / retail price / manufacturing cost?

- what is the current cash position of the business? (unless you have some reserves I foresee significant cashflow hurdles).

As several others have said, this really isn't an opportunity for a joint business ownership, it is potentially an opportunity for collaboration
