hi, i wonder if someone can help.

I run a small bistro and have been working itvall myself up to now. I have it set up as a ltd company of which i am the sole director.

Last week i took on a member of staff.

She is on a zero hours contract as i dont know how many hours ill need her for as trade increases. At the moment, i envisage she will earn approx £90 - £100 a week as thats all i can afford to pay for extra staff.

Im trying to find out what i need to do in terms of wage slips, tax, ni etc. she hasnt got a p45.

Ive read about LEL on the hmrc website and that i dont have to operate paye if she earns less than £112 but what info do i put on her wage slip, does it have to be reported anywhere by me and can it be written out or do i have to pay to get them properly printed?

Any advice gratefully received!!

Shelley

You will also need to be aware of minimum wage and holiday entitlements

First of all you d'not need any payroll services for this and you have to write her attendance, and hourly rate on wage slip.

If she doesn't have a P45 you will need to complete new starter information. Depending on her history to date you may have to run payroll, however much you pay her.
