The hardest part of property development ......... must be dreaming up a name.Either of the above
Or
Your first name
A London square/landmark
A made up word
Don’t have that problem. Nobody knows who I am. Even my mum gets it wrong most of the time.If you are already know in the industry it would an advantage to use your name, So they tell me
never selling... simply building a brand name for properties aquired.Just another thought - do you really want your name attached to the business name/brand, you may decide to sell the business one day to someone with a different name to you?
m4 hmo - HMO's along the M4 motorwayKind of agree with a lot of the above, it's not like you particularly need a brand to resonate with consumers. It could be anything.
No idea what the M4 in your username is for, but who cares, use that. M4 Homes Ltd.
Job done.
it matters see post above this...I work in property, and like many others who come onto the forum, stop worrying about the name. Seriously, no one cares until you reach world domination level.
We own the properties... its established... my dad is a chartered structural engineer, i'm qualified electrics, and in carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms etc - soon to be gas safe as well. These days i just manage the work - but still hands on. We never contract anything out. This name is to label whats already there... see post above.I work in property development, myself and others like me avoid property developers and estate agents, like the plague. They know this, so they try and hide who they are, they try and make out they are homeowners.
Pick a nondescript name, or you may struggle to get Architects and structural engineers, etc, on board.
lol...shouldn't laugh.Famous figures such as Kings, Poets, Generals or Field Marshalls such as 'Grenfell?'
london square/mark might be used as I am based in LondonEither of the above

Thanks for the suggestion but we don't sell, just buy...Have you tried your surnamehomesales?
Before registering a domain name it might make more sense to approach it from the other direction, can you register the name as a ltd company? The UK Gov try to avoid too much confusion so will not allow similar names to other companies anyway.
You can have a different ltd name, t/a domain name but it can look messy.
Is it though? One of the worlds largest companies is called Apple - hardly a great name when you think about it.The name is VERY important, this is not really a start-up, more labelling something that's already established...
Only to you. Nobody else in the world cares what you call yourself. The name is VERY important,
Donald Duck Micky Mouse & Partners?Only to you. Nobody else in the world cares what you call yourself.
Pretty much the same here. Two Partners and two names in the Business Title. HOWEVER, it is worthwhile checking how names appear in other languages, should the need arise - And, also take care with Initials and Acronyms. It depends on the type of business, I trade on my reputation, I put my money where my mouth is.
My company name is my initials, my trading address is my home.
Along the lines of Amstrad...He ended up using the first names of his sons, which keeps it very personal and people we like it when they find out.
Catnic Building Products too. Named after the founder's children CATherine and NICholasAking the lines of Amstrad...
