Hello All,
As part of a very small team, myself and the few around me have forever been concerned with natural SEO and thus, natural link building.
Our website ranks fairly well for our chosen keywords and we are very proud of where we've got so far, without ever using link building services or so called SEO gurus.
We regularly keep up-to-date with the goings on in the SEO world, doing our best to maximise both on and off page SEO.
Whilst I appreciate the importance of certain links like: dmoz, .gov, etc. Surely there is still a need for good quality links from relevant websites with good authority.
Which brings me to our problem:
For a small team that are busy 24/7 it's virtually impossible to get these links. We're completely honest and up-front when we approach other websites but rarely seem to get past the first hurdle.
I'd love to have more time to get to know others before chatting about link sharing but unfortunately there don't seem to be enough hours in the day.
Are we missing a trick here? Or is it really a case of slugging it out and hoping someone will reply to your emails?
Would love to hear anyones thoughts here - if anyone else has the same problems or maybe we're being extremely naive.
Thanks,
Rich
