Name and Address Capture

Hi , can anyone recommend where I can purchase this from all I want to do is put the customers post code in and then it will give me details of their name and address. I have looked at quick address pro from Experian but want to know what else is available and if possible at what cost .

it depends what you want to do and how you want to do it, you can buy the postocde database from Royal Mail which I think is about 5k, then if you want a system to manager it from Royal Mail thats another 3k i think, then you ahve to secure it and host it etc.

of if you use couriers most of them have a facility and as long as you don't abuse it they should be ok with you using it.

Thanks guys ,I want it so when a customer phones I simply put the post code in then the rest of my form (name ,address) is filled in automatic ,and also to verify the data is correct.

postcode anywhere in the post above will do that, there are different levels yo what you do, but thats the cheapest in terms of initial outlay.

Hi,

There are a few different companies out there who can do what you require. I use a company called data8 as I wanted to capture addresses from postcode like yourself but also had an issue with obtaining incorrect mobile numbers and as they do validation for telephone numbers as well it was right for me.

They seemed happy to provide a free trial of the services as well.

Thanks for the replies I will look into the companies mentioned and find out how much they charge ,Don't need the software until at least another 6 months but want to find what's out there .
