Anyone out there a stay at home mum running a business? I am based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and find it ooooh so difficult running a business home alone.

It would be nice to brain storm some ideas, discuss the trial and tribulations of running a business, looking after the kids and running a home.

Can never make the business networking meetings, breakfast meeting and school run just wouldn.t work LOL

Anyone interested.

Could we network?

My wife is starting up in hollistic treatments once we've had our first baby (due in August!).. She's just finishing up training in various aspects of it, but I'll see if I can get her pointed over to these forums!

Hi there

Nice of you to reply. I dont think I made my post very clear. I was really after meeting someone in the Leeds area of West Yorkshire.

Thank you anyway.

Hi Shellie

Your the very reason we started the Lunch & Learn events!

We were getting loads of feedback from mum who couldnt make breakfast so something in the middle of the day away from school runs made sense. We're keen to encourage more women to network and also offer a 25% discount to WiRe members...

Good luck! If Network Yorkshire can ever help let me know even if it's just putting you in touch with other mums in business....

Take a virtual office with us,, and you will never miss a call!
For £99 a month, we would answer all your calls, get you post and faxes.
You decide if you want us to take messages, or pass calls to your mobile.

Get a city centre location address in a modern new building.
This would help promote your business in a better light, and remove the risk of giving out your home address to people.

We also have meeting rooms so you could arrange to meet your clients here too!

Hi,
I'm near Wakefield so not too far from you. I find being a work at home mum frustrating sometimes as friends and family don't actually think that I'm working as I'm at home. It would be good to hear from other poeple in the same situation.

It is true - one of the difficulties is being taken seriously by family.

Only when I get results that everyone is suddenly helpful, otherwise they just assume I don't do anything if I'm planning or setting up meetings etc. It's can be challenging at times for sure.
