Hi

I’m looking for a new PC, main use is web browser but the people using it can have 5-10 tabs open and the current Acer i5 8GB Ram is getting slow after 3 years of constant use.

I’ve had a look around and found this

Ideally I want to connect 4 monitors to this particular unit, could I add additional an graphic card to this unit, one with a dual HDMI would be the ideal solution.

Would this fit and be compatible?

Also welcome any suggestions for PC’s

Thanks

Not all DisplayPort monitors support DisplayPort MST for daisy-chaining. Do check the manual and online resources for the display.

The display must also support DisplayPort 1.3, 1.4 or higher in order to support chaining more than one 4K display. This is not possible if the display supports DisplayPort 1.2 only.

3 years isn't a long time and an i5 isn't that slow. Have you considered working out why it's slow?

Cleaning it up, making sure it's got an quick SSD and perhaps doubling the RAM will be an extremely cheap solution and could give the laptop a few more years lifespan.

Although of course, this wouldn't solve your multiple screen requirement.

Sounds like you need to clean that up. If it doesn't have a SSD, get one - you will see immediate improvements.

Another splash of RAM will also help thing.
