I have been looking for a newer car, and was wondering what the difference in costs really are regarding the MPG and if it was worth me worrying about it.
The car I have now does 24mpg on average (and even less around the town), and the new one I'm looking at does 39mpg (overall combined average), so I calculated I will save over £1000 per year (@ £1.16 per litre of diesel, and 12,000 miles per year).
