Mortgage Data Feed?

Is there a company who offers a feed of data with the latest residential mortgages that can be downloaded in a useful and arranged format (XML, CSV etc)?

I'm guessing companies like moneysupermarket.com and other mortgage brokers use such a service?

Any help would be very much appreciated! :)

Thanks

Yes an API is exactly what I'm looking for. Just had a look at that site and can't find anything relevant. Anyone know of any specific APIs?

Hi, no, sorry I wasn't very clear... On that site you will find providers of these services and if you get in touch with them, they will able to sort you out.

Basically post this on that forum and I'm sure you'll get replies from ever data providers or others in the industry themselves.

All the best

I was hoping we could a single provider who collates all the information into a daily XML feed. We don't mind paying for a good service of course...

Having been involved in a price comparison site recently which will include financial services products (unfortunately only as a project manager rather than developers) they, even with their spending power, was unable to find any decent API feeds for your required type of data - naturally someone like moneysupermarket however wouldnt consider giving API access to what is potentially going to be a major competitor.

Wow that is a surprise. Now maybe thats a business in itself?! ;) Yeah I wouldn't expect MSM to open up a API.

Hmmm maybe back to the drawing board...

Possibly, though having worked under FSA regulation for a large amount of my employed career I personally wouldnt want the headache that providing any regulated industry information comes with - it would be difficult to see how to pitch such a product given the cost/ time involved in regulation and the indemnity insurances needed to protect against claims and very few mid size entrants to the market - most are very small and therefore the service would be cost prohibative (and they are probably hoping to fly below the FSA radar) or very large so will have exceptionally high demands pushing costs up further and will most likely be able to go direct to the suppliers for the feeds as my client ultimately did for most.
