Mobile business contract or normal contract??

I need a mobile to run my services on the go and i don't want to use my personal mobile. I'm the only one needed of a phone.

A mobile contract with unlimited data is a must... so do i have to go with a business contract or can i just sign up to a normal contract under my name? Is there any benefits to either one?

In the end i'm going to pay for an 0800 number to re-direct to this phone

The main benefit i would guess of going with a business mobile would be the support you would get if there were any issues with it.

Are you a sole trader or limited company or what?
If the phone is solely for business use, someone will correct me if im wrong, but it could be put down as an allowable expense and VAT can be claimed back if you are VAT registered?

(But the phone would have to be under the business name not the personal name?)

In terms of pricing, from what i have seen they are mostly priced the same, apart from if you are taking out multiple phones which is when you may get a discount on a second handset.

Im unsure on other networks, but three mobile are generally pretty good with offering all you can eat data, i use a personal phone on three mobile and can sit on the internet all day every day and it wont cost a penny extra..

I have a Vodafone contract, not sure what the name of it is, but included in this is
Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and downloads plus most crucially for me a Virtual telephone number with my local dialling code. Cost £42.00 incl. I remember adding something to it for £3 which I think was to cover 0800 numbers. I have in my settings the virtual number so that when I call or anyone calls me they think they are calling a land line. So for me the best of both worlds. hope this helps

Hi clickylabs

You may wish to consider an alternative solution which comes with an attached landline number going straight to your mobile, as the forwarding charges from your 0800 number will therefore be much lower.

On EE Business I could sort this for you from £27.50 + VAT per month.

On Vodafone One Net Express (this is the service patientlady above has) I could sort this for you from £31.67 + VAT per month.

If you wish to contact me to discuss further my email address is my full name with no dot at my business name dot com.

Best Regards

Simon
