Hi there my website is with a company called ekmpowershop, they have just added a thing so you can do a meta title for each item and each catorgory aswell

is this a good thing? or should i not do it?

it's a good thing. Each page should have a unique title, the phrase for which you want that page to be found (+ a little bit more)

Do you mean <meta name="title" content="<title>Your title</title>"></meta> rather than the html tag <title> ?

If so then copy the <title> content into the meta tag so it is repeated.

Also ditch the company name at the front of the titles. Have your main keyword/s at the front of the title, and accurately describe the page.

You definitely should add meta tags.. different meta tags for each page showing your target keywords

I think you mean the HTML title tag, it's not a META tag. We use EKM to but havn't got round to using this feature yet as our SEO is pretty good anyway.

Hi on each item ekmpower shop have added a new bit on each page and each product where you can change the meta title the blue bar at the top to say what you want

excample: if it was a bumble bee costume it would say bumble bee costume at the top blue bar.
now on ekmpowershop there is a chance to change it to say- bumble bee costumes-great fancy dress" or anything you want

Is this a good idea or not?
