Mark posts as read?

Is there a manual 'mark posts as read' button?
Only I keep seeing links in bold (i.e. not read) that I know I have read (at least twice, as I keep thinking I've not read them!!)

Do you mean the links to threads?..these will turn to bold if another post is added that hasn't been read

Yep. But they are showing bold even when there's nothing new

You can also mark any individual forum as read by double-clicking on the blue square next to it.
