Hello :)

I need a logo designed for my company. I was wondering if anyone here would make some samples, or if you knew someone who would.

Also if you know someone who does how much do they charge?

I personally think the best way to get a logo done, is hold a Logo contest on Sitepoint (www.sitepoint.com) . (I am not affiliated to this site in any way). This site has got some amazingly talented designers, and once you start the contest (for as little as $50) people submit their designs, until you pick a winner.

They even have some corportaes posting contests, in the contests section, and as I use them for all my sites, I highly recommend them.

If you check out the contests section, you will get an idea of the quality you can expect.

Hi,

When I had my logo done, I did a drawing on paper and sent it to him and he copied it. Try a few yourself. The best ideas will come from you, the designer then makes them perfect.

Sitepoint is fine if you want to run the risk of getting a low-ball teenager sitting in his/her bedroom as your 'designer'. Most of them there are 'wannabes' and don't even use the correct software and format (vector) for logo design.

Granted, you'll find some pros at Sitepoint - but very few. I visit now and again and have been hired to 'repair the damage' on more than several occaisions...

If your budget is low (or you don't value your identity very much), it's the risk you take.
