Logo Designers - proper ones

i wondered if anyone here can help out at all for a friend.

taking over a business thats run offline and kick starting it and wants the logo from the front of the building made into a logo used for flyers/posters/web.

i wondered if this is something someone here can do? it may even be a font that we're not sure of.. just want it a similar colour and font to the front of the building.

I work my day job in a 3M Trimline shop, I don't know if you have them in the UK. We do graphics on vehicles mostly, some signage work, lots of design. Pinstriping too.

also to the person who recommended Whatthefont forum, i tried to go on there.. when i went to upload a picture the continue button wouldnt let me click on it.. so it wouldnt let me upload to the forum either without going through the checker.
