Live chat on my website

Hi there,

Just wondering if you think this is a good idea to add "live chat" to my printing company?

I've seen a few other sites with this running and wondered if it's a good way of increasing sales?

Live Chat works brilliantly for me. Get at least one sale a day from it.

I use Livezilla...it's free.

You can see it in action here. Well actually it's not in 'action' because i've knocked off for the evening...LOL!

Another vote for LiveZilla it is amazing for a free package

Remember though, if someone is browsing your website in business hours and your live chat is saying "Offline" it can put potential customers off. So if you are going to have live chat make sure it is always showing "Online" in your business hours.

Live chats are really helpful in increasing the interest of the customer. Customer usually feel good when he need to ask any question and the answer is provided without any delay. Moreover the chat rooms have discussions regarding the product so the popularity of the stuff increases. There are some examples on the web of those websites that have made good reputation due to the chat room and online discussion forums.

You can also include a click to call function in your web page or any online signature. This internet call forwarding service, provide your online readers the chance to talk live to you. By just clicking the icon, they are directed to your business phone line. Thus,eliminate web site abandonment which in return generate high response rate from your viewers.

As others have said, make sure you have someone who has time to look after the live chat. I've been to lots of sites over the years that have offered live chat, but they never seem to be on.

If you are not going to have someone live all the time, then state the hours it will be live - very few seem to do this.

If I want to ask a question and live chat isn't working I'm likely to go to another site.

The other thing is make sure whoever is running it isn't getting their mates to contact them so they can sit and chat with them. This is a business tool and it should be used as such. Also, try not to let "prospective customers" take up too much time.
