I work in an office with lots of computers - most desks have two monitors, or a laptop and a monitor.
No one here does much with paper. There's a few scraps here and there, an odd notebook and some post it notes.
The walls are lined with windows from ceiling to 3' or so off the ground. There's so much sunlight that people pull the shades down. There's still a ton of light, just no glare from the sun.
So, why the !£$!$ do people need to come in and turn on 10 rows of overhead fluorescent lights on which make more glare in everyone's glasses than the sun on the brightest days?
The screens are lit from within - they don't get brighter with the overhead lights on.
Seriously, why people, why?
