Launching a WordPress Themes Club

We're soon going to launch a WordPress themes club. The idea being that instead of paying a one-off to download a theme and then realising you don't like it, you can, for the duration of your subscription, download as much as you like. Different subscription levels buy you different numbers of licences.

Members also have access to a forum which gives them community support.

Prices are intentionally kept low - especially at the start when we'll only have a couple of themes to offer. The idea is to then ramp up to around £50 per six month membership as the numbers grow and the club becomes more valuable to members.

So the technical and business plan is simple.

The problem is... how to market it? Our target market is both UK and worldwide web designers - especially ones with little or no css/php skills. We're also keen on enthusiast or professional bloggers who want to DIY their site's look and feel.

So far we've identified numerous WordPress fan sites on which we can advertise... but they don't tend to attract more casual users of WordPress. Ultimately I'm sure that, like RocketThemes, we'll have our customers doing our marketing for us... but in the short term that doesn't pay the rent. There's also Google Adwords, which has proved very useful to us in the WordPress field so far.

Any other ideas?
