Is there a way to hide the Login / register links in the nav menu, when a user is logged in? I know I can create another menu with the login link / register within it and then use a module to hide that...

Is there any easier way like Joomla syntax etc?

If your login/nav links are just one part of a menu with other links in it, then no. You can only hide a module at a time, not links within it.

If I understand what you're asking this is the way i'd do it:

Create your main menu with a login link in it and make it visable to everyone except registered users. Then, create a duplicate menu without the login link and make it visable to registered users only.
