Have a search for other threads including this current one:

General concensus from what I have read around various forums is that it is doesn't have the features available elsewhere and doesn't inspire confidence with card payers due to it's much different appearance to the usual chip and pin terminals.

I would embrace a new technology and if my customers are "scared" of my new card processing device, they can always go to the ATM.

I'm sure the appearance of the 1st chip and pin machine didn't inspire much confidence with people and they would have wanted to have their card copied using those manual print machines instead but here we are... 2012 and I can touch my card on a piece of electronics and pay for my goods!!

You are missing the point that IZettle and others like them have been trumped by even newer technology that can offer chip and pin and customer not present sales at the same or lower prices.

I applied for a similar system with Mpowa which I think is chip & pin although I haven't received it yet.

There are a few of these in the UK now with Paypal, Izettle, Mpowa and more. I think Square is the US market leader and that may come here too. It's going to be a big battle but it's great for small business - especially mobile ones!

I would NEVER use a device like that. Can you imagine the potential for fraud??!

I can recommend a great company who offers the type of machine that they use in restaurants, completely portable - uses the mobile network so will work anywhere. In business first impressions count. Do you want to look like a professional business or a fly by night?

iZettle themselves admit that their business model falls short of the Payment Card Industry PIN Transaction Security (PCI PTS) requirements http://help.izettle.com/customer/portal/articles/531185-why-doesn’t-izettle-use-pins-#

As mentioned, they were slow to the plate and have been trumped by newer, more secure and more trusted technology.

I'd short the stock until the end of time as I don't see a way back from their current position. They don't have critical mass and folk are never going to be happy without a PIN.
