Its Cold Outside - Stop Calling!

At least twice a week we receive a call from "It's Cold Outside" offering SEO, each time we tell them to stop calling. We have even sent them a list of telephone numbers and domain names for them to take us off their database, but still they keep calling!
Even when you say that your not interested, they roll into there script about how their business can change ours... If they stopped calling we may get some proper enquiries coming through. One day we even had a situation where my colleague was on the phone to them at the sametime as me!
I have even taken the Managers name and emailed him the list across! They are driving me nuts, and blocking our phone lines for proper business to come through!
I have reported them to the Telephone Preference Service, but is there anything else I can do?

Just put the phone down. Be rude, it not as if this is going to make any difference.

We have tried being rude, being nice, hanging up, leaving them on hold... Yet still they ring!

There aren't going to ever stop so just hang up. In fact I'd suggest you have made things worse by sending then all your telephone numnbers.

Can you go back to TPS again? My understanding is that the £5k fine is per call so it encourages people to report them for every single call. (not sure what good it will do though which is so frustrating)

We too are bombarded with calls from them -- even though we used to bother telling them that we are an SEO company! I've noticed a recent tactic is to alternate between ICO and It's Cold Outside (obviously, the phrase "It's Cold Outside" is gradually becoming a pavlovian 'put phone down' response for many victims). We now flat refuse to talk to them and tell them why. "We don't talk to your company" is now our stock response, followed by prompt putting down of phone!

 

ask the caller what they are wearing, do lots of heavy breathing and say you work miles from anywere and dont get to talk to many people ,and you just had to take this opertunity for a bit of phone sex
