Hi,

I read some posts about nginx, redis, git, noSQL and similar technologies. But Im thinking of creating a web startup with mysql/php/css. Is there anything I should consider about scaling before developing or launching?

P.s. Im pretending that I live in a perfect world and user rates will double every week.

Regards,

user rates will double every week.
I'd love to see that business/marketing plan :)

Unfortunately your question is way too vague to have any kind of answer ...
what kind of site, what kind of db, what number of records, shared or dedicated hosting, how many visitors, are you planning for the 1st week or month or quarter or year, what budget ?

I wouldn't worry too much about what technology you use. If you've got a solid business plan, by the time it becomes a problem you should have the money coming in to do something about it.

There's no point in spending months worrying about how you'll deal with a million users every day - or, if infrastructure design isn't your strong point, paying consultants a small fortune to worry about it - until such time as you actually have at least a hundred thousand users every day and a solid growth rate.
