I get quite a bit of traffic each month from Pinterest, but is it actually good for SEO?

We did try pinterest.com sometime back, and should say it has grown substantially over the months. As mentioned by SEL its definitely a good resource for SMB's who wants to concentrate on the local market as it combines no follow link juice, virality factor, Photo sharing, bookmarking (pinning) and social shares.

This is only going to work well for websites that provide a lot of imagery across their websites I would imagine. And it would have to be decent imagery at that.

The benefits it would have towards SEO would ultimately come down to whether Google pay attention to this website really, whilst it is largely based around social sharing - which is a ranking factor, whether Google places any specific weight on pintinterest metrics (as it does with Facebook Likes, Twitter ReTweets and Google +1's) remains to be seen. The traffic filtering through to your website via this domain though certainly won't do you any harm though.

Yes i m also getting a little bit traffic from Pinterest.com. If I am right it is a Image blog. It is good if the traffic coming from pinterest.com spend some time on your website other wise it is useless :)
