iPhone: diverting certain contacts only

Hi guys

I currently run my business via mobile (Blackberry) instead of landline, I then run a separate mobile line for personal calls (iPhone).

If I was to switch everything over to the one number is there any way of me having all business contacts diverted to voicemail outside of working hours whilst still letting personal calls through?

Not that I'm aware of - you can get dual SIM card phones but I have no experience of them and they look rather dodgy.

It can be done using a different number entirely then routing through a simple IVR ie press 1 for Business 1, 2 for Joe's Phone. Those two extensions can then be managed seperately by time of day or manual interventions.

But that's all a bit clunky and there are divert costs that will mount up.

Do you really need to use mobiles? ie are you physically mobile or is it just the way you've always done it?

I'm in & out of the office constantly (bookkeeper) and tbh many of my clients like to drop me a txt from time to time so it's nice to have that personal touch while keeping it away from the actually personal line i.e. being able to 'switch off' now and again.

So, two phone it is for the time being by the sound of it. No I just need to decide whether to ditch my business Blackberry and go for iPhone or Android?!? :|

I've used dual SIM phones and they were not really the answer. They haven't been further developed so that idea is largely a non starter these days.

I use android but how I use it works on Apple. Main number as per call package, for personal only. Business numbers routed through Skype allowing rerouting anywhere via Skype portal.

Wouldn't work that cheaply if you had to call them back via Skype as there is (was) no package to mobiles (there is a monthly inclusive to landlines, I pay annual) but there are other advantages such as video, file transfer, chat function, etc.

I'm happy with it as I can use the same functionality in front of a pc as on my laptop as o0n my phone, all without changing anything as Skype is running on all three.
