Instant quote advise please

Hi,

Does anyone have any knowledge of a "instant quote" style website?? I currently am working on a new project for a comparison style website and use quote submission forms, that are then emailed to the suppliers and they contact the cleint with a quote.

I am very interested in exploring a better facility for my visitors, where they can complete the information fields and the results come back instantly with a selection of suppliers and their quotes. The same as you see on all the large insurance style comparison sites.

How would i look to achieve this? Where would i start and is this something that will costs a great deal, as i only have a small budget.

You'll need "Web Services" (API). Nearly all insurance companies have them available.

Best to speak to your web developer about the rest.

Not neccesarily,

If you read most sites they give estimated costs.

It really does depend on how you want to do this and how accuretly.

I just think it looks more appealing if they get a rough idea straight away, normally it would give them more of a reason to bite and action it there and then??!!!
