Information Requirements for E-commerce Sites

If you sell through a website then you are required to give out basic contact information, including a full geographic address.

If a site accepts orders by e-mail and sends a pro-forma for payment, does this constitute selling via the website? Must they show the same information, or is it sufficient to only include the address on the invoice? Is a PO box (not a geographic address) acceptable for invoices?

Even taking orders via email constitutes online selling.

The invoice needs to have full details. A PO Box might be acceptable but if I saw this on the email I’d not give you my money.

Even if you're taking orders by email, it still counts as selling online. The invoice should include full contact details, and while a PO Box might be okay, it could make customers hesitant to trust you. It's better to provide a full geographic address for transparency.
