Hi

We specialise in short date confectioneries and as an extension to our business we also do £10 hamper boxes mixed with cakes, drinks, sweets, chocolates and crisps.

We deliver the boxes locally and we adverts the service using FB.

We find that during the summer holiday period people don’t come out much for shopping due to various factors; one being kids always asking for much.

During the holiday period we would like to reach out to many customers as possible using some kind of marketing technique. We are cheaper than regular pound stores and the likes of B&M.

As we operate on an extremely low profit margin I’ve run out of ideas how to target wilder customers ordering the boxes.

Typically the cost of each box to is £7.50 and we make £2.50 each box. Customers pay delivery between £2 or £3 depending on the location.

Please can you kindly advice if there is any other marketing techniques i can use ?

I would suggest look at increasing your pricing unless your volume supports low margins.

You have details of past customers and permission to contact them for marketing? If not that's where I would start, getting new customers is often harder and more expensive than people who do like what you have provided.

Email mailshots.
Can you do a PDF catalogue of products?
How do you feel about a product of the week / month?

When you send the goods do you include any marketing materials?

I am trying to put myself in the position of a customer. Why would I want £7.50 of branded confectionary delivered to me for 12 -13 pounds? When I can add any items I want to my supermarket order. Have I missed something?
The cost of £7.50 is mine I then charge the customer £10 to buy the box of me. Why would a customer buy? Simples because I am the cheapest around. Supermarkets and the usual discounters cannot offer multi pack crisp for 2 for £1, snicker bars 50g 6 for £1 these are some of the many deals we have.
