Guys i have some web space with easily.co.uk, i have had it for years but never really used it.

What i could do with doing now is being able to upload lets say pdf files, then allowing my customers to download the files, via a link sent to them via email or perhaps via some sort of web page.

Your thoughts, ideas and help much appreciated.

Phil

If you just post the full link in your email - the pdf file should open in their browser, from where they can 'save a copy'.

Wish i could, i have just been testing this idea but, the user would get prompted for the user name and password.

Sure they are free yes.

Sorry but what do you mean by an open area.

Thanks

Just save as 'chosen-name.pdf' and upload to your webserver as you would a normal webpage.
Then link from your site or by email:

yoursite.co.uk/chosen-name.pdf

An open area - the pdf files will be in an open directory (folder) on your web server. They are obviously in a protected directory at the moment, if when linking to them you are being prompted for a username and password.
