How to do a market research on search engine?

Hi,

there was such a girl (without contacts) on the startups forum and she did such a research for another guy. Basically, the guy wanted to sell loose tea and the girl did a quick research and the results was like this:

Local search in June

buy green tea online - 170
shop green tea - 260
green tea online - 320
green tea uk - 3600
loose leaf green tea - 390
green tea leaves - 590
green teas - 1300
buy green tea - 2900
loose green tea - 1600
green tea - 246000
loose leaf teas - 110
loose teas - 360
buy tea online - 1000
flavored tea - 880
online tea - 3600
loose leaf tea - 1900

Any ideas how she did this?

Looks like they just used the google keyword tool, to see how many searches on each keywords
