How do I do this on Facebook? Photo Thumbnails Layout

Hi
I've tried searching google but can't find the answer. When I upload multiple images to an album it shows thumbnails of the images I've added in small squares, rows of 3, max 9.

Now on other peoples pages when they've uploaded multiple photos to an album, one is big and then shows 3 small square thumbnails underneath.

I've looked everywhere in settings etc and can't see how they are doing it, anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Lianne

Hi Lianne,

It sounds like you're uploading photos while your Facebook friends are creating albums.

Go to your Facebook Timeline, click Photo and you'll get two options: Upload photos/video and create an album. Click create an album and you'll be able to upload many pictures.

Hope this helps, Jane :)

Hi Jane
Thanks, I've been adding pictures to the same album each time, I don't really want to be setting up a new one everytime I upload some pictures when they should all go in one as they are examples of our bears.

See this Facebook page, they've done it, one big picture and 3 small ones underneath, but they've setup new albums each time?

Hi Lianne,

Apologies for not getting back sooner...

Yes, it looks as though they are creating albums for each, that's how you get that one big picture and three smaller underneath. I manage several pages and do the same. A photographer friend of mine has lots of good examples. You might want to take a look at her page Kent Bad Babez Photography AKA Karen Burrows (sorry, just joined the UKBF so can't post the link yet!)

But it's not always a bad idea to put a few things in different albums rather than adding hundreds of images to one album .. it's more appealing for the users. You could, eg, link things by brand, colour, texture or whatever, therefore making it more user friendly :)

Hope the above helps and give me a shout if you need anything else :)
