Hosting Question - Cheapest UK decent host

Some people only require a very basic service and I am one of those people. After a few years I found I had several websites, so it made sense for me to start my own reseller account with Heart which I've had for 6 years now.
I resell packages for 25/year but this includes up to 5 websites under a single account.
Only basic support is offered but it suits the majority of my Clients who are typically Music Producers with different aliases requiring different websites, etc.
Single-click installations are also there for Wordpress, Joomla, etc.
PM me if interested.
Thanks

£8 isn't going to pay for many support hours
Actually you don't "get what you pay for" in any purchasing including web hosting.

You can pay either a lot or a little money for either good or bad.

The secret of successful purchasing is to seek best value, which is usually not the cheapest price.

I think the pervading idea is that a hosting company that charges less will most-likely allocate less for after-sale care and support.

See this is the real answer.

VALUE not price is what you base everything in business on. If you automatically assume something is bad because it is cheap then your not going to be successful.

I would never encourage somebody to make an assumption about a particular provider, only about the industry in general. Prior research is invaluable!

What do you suspect @tombuckland? :)
IMO the best people to give advice on the subject are the people who know the industry best.

Not true at all unfortunately.

How can I or anyone else know if your company is set up from a bright idea you had one day. How does anyone know just from the "link in your sig" and what you say if you actually have a clue what your talking about.

Don't believe me?

Have a look in the SEO and PPC section of this forum, warrior forums or any business forum that has an online marketing section, these are swapped with people who claim to be "SEO experts" but are giving people advice from 5 years ago that didn't even work then.

And everyone's interpretation of value is different of course.

If you have a sound knowledge of hosting and website management, then £8 a year could be fantastic value assuming the server you are on is stable.

If you have little knowledge and you need support to keep things running smoothly or to manage different aspects of your hosting, then £8 a month could be great value to your business if your host provides the level of support you need

I don't dispute what you say, only pointing out an important consideration to make in regards to price v performance. The bottom line is, always do your research before paying any money - even if it is a bargain!
