I am a first year Student at University Studying for a BA Business Degree.

I have joined UK business forums, because I hope to pursue one of my many Business projects this year and actually put my business out there and I’m seeking unbiased Business advice from other Business people here in the UK rather than of my friends/family.

Bit of background:
Being a student, I have lots of free time outside of study, I have been working on various ideas the last couple of years at College, and have come to shortlist my projects into a small handful - the ones in which I believe will have the highest success rate amongst them. It's incredibly difficult for me to know when the best time to launch, it's something I have thought long and hard about. Most people are telling me to wait till after university and to focus on my degree more. I have had part time jobs prior to university, but I have on many occasions been put in my place after offering advice to management about how I feel the company could increase profits and minimize expenditure. Perhaps it's because of being a teenager, I don't know. I have 16 weeks as of the summer to get started and establish myself; I'm a quarter of the way through my business plan. I’m unsure about how I will manage my business when University starts up again, but I am keen to use this time effectively. More things in the way of test marketing and risk management will be undertaken before I proceed. I have never experienced failure at Business as I have yet to physically step in, I do however understand how hard it is setting up and surviving in the first few years, I hope to offer advice and information to other members on here regularly, and I will try to be as active as I can be.

I wish everyone on here the best of luck with their Businesses and look forward to taking part.

HI Daniel,

Welcome to the UK Business Forums and for sharing that information with us, very much appreciated.

It definetly sounds like you have your head screwed on, and I can personally relate to being put back in my place for offering advice to the older generations!

Anyway, good luck with it all and if you need any advice along the way then we will all be too happy to help.
