Help Needed! How to get an import export license?

Hi everyone, I have been searching the net for the past 2 weeks to find a way to get a license but no luck! I have tried the HM customs site as well.

Please help, its urgent!

You only need a licence for certain type of product.

Searching for anything on the HMRC web site is a bit of a nightmare. What type of goods do you wish to import/export and from/to which country. If you can let me know I will probably be able to point you in the right direction.

My company is in shipping and freight forwarding.

Find a partener to coperate with you , who have the license of improting and exporting. It's the most quick way to your business.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has replied, I wanted to import all sorts of fruit and veg, garments, and may be frozen fish from Bangladesh.

So, what licence are you specifically after?

You dont generally need one for produce, although, like every natural product, it does need to be treated/processed correctly. Items like garlic and a few other do need a licence.

Garments are different and not my speciality.

Have you done this before? You are entering a minefield in the 2 categories you have chosen to work in. Good luck.
