Hi Guys, have asked this over in some other threads and narrowed it down. Seen as this is the area for start ups hoping I'll get some more responses to help me finalise the 3 options that I'll put to my potential customers.

I'm in the process of starting up a food delivery/catering company (doing sandwich/lunch rounds & corporate catering to start), there will be a strong emphasis on fresh, good for you, tasty food, made with love . I'm having trouble with the business name, I've come up with some ideas below but would really like some feedback e.g. your favourite/least favourite and any other suggestions?!

I've now narrowed it down to

Balanced Bites

Or

Healthy Food Fast

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these two and maybe throw up another suggestion? I'd like to have 3 names when I go and do my market research with my potential customers

Thanks a lot.
:)

Both names work to a degree but the one is too literal and the other is non-descript; although it sounds better Balanced Bites kind of deviates from what you are trying to say.

We charge £40 p/hr for naming and this can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks of research, ideas and market analysis so it's not the kind of thing you should just rush. Naming is one of those things that can really accelerate a startup if it sticks in people's minds!

It's true that naming your business is a huge and important step - you don't want to pick the wrong thing and then rebrand a few months down the road, losing any brand recognition you had established.
I work for Umami - a company that specialises in design and branding for the food and drink industry. We recently helped rebrand 'Sushi on the go' - a prepacked convenience food company like yourself, and their name hits the target market nail right on the head.
As we offer a full range of services, from logo, graphic, web and print we can help with not only your name but your full brand identity by getting to know you and your business better. We know the sector inside out, as our sales director Michelle has over 15 years experience in the food industry, and we're all huge foodies here in the office.
Drop me a PM or email, we're buzzing with ideas to help you out.

I wouldn't necessarily suggest asking people on a business forum who aren't necessarily your target audience is the best way to go on this.

Have a look at advice on naming your business on Marketing Donut as part of developing your brand.

Yes there are lots of branding/design agencies out there that can help you, but you won't necessarily have the budget at this stage to pay for their expertise at every step of the way.

I would suggest do as much research as you can yourself on your concept, competitors, what makes you stand out, your target audience etc. You could then approach a branding/design expert to help you with some expert thinking to develop your brand including the name.

You can then put together a focus group/s/questionnairs with your target audience to test out your concepts around the name/brand before engaging an agency to help you develop your corporate identity.
