Help! Accountancy Fees

They can not withhold a copy from you that is not legal. Do you have any other documents or bills or something showing where the fees come from? Some accountants are just terrible!

I've got the copies of the time ledgers and most of the fees come from 'accounts preparation'.... I just want to get it paid now and move on. I know it's been extortionate but I'm sick of the stress of worrying about it and just need to get on with life.

Luckily my own accountant has looked at the work I do now on the book keeping and analysis sheets and estimated around £500 per year - much more my kind of figure!

Result!

Got confirmation today that he'll accept £2500 for full and final payment. That'll close the account and release us to move on thankfully. It's been a stressful time but we've effectively got a reduction of over £1700 - like my own accountant says, if they can drop it that far then they've definitely overcharged in the first place... but hey! It's over and I can now relax and focus on the wedding - phew.
